Universal Studios Hollywood Deploys Big Filmmaking Guns for Innovative Halloween Horror Nights Campaign

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Aiming to reflect a sense of shock, awe and dread among audiences for this year's Halloween Horror Nights® event, Universal Studios Hollywood(SM) has enlisted @radical.media, an Oscar® and Emmy®-winning transmedia company, to produce an innovative broadcast ad campaign that embodies the spirit of the ultimate horror experience with the catch-phrase, "What Fear...Fears Most."

The television ad features a group of young people whose stroll through a forested area is interrupted by a thundering pack of grotesque and frightening characters running full-bore in their direction. The spot, which features a surprise plot twist, utilizes special effects makeup and gothic lighting to produce a powerful sense of alarm and foreboding. The 60-second film may be viewed at www.UniversalStudiosHollywood.com/Spot.

"What Fear…Fears Most" was directed by Derin Seale for @radical.media, a global transmedia company that creates some of the world's most innovative content across all forms of media. The firm served as the production company for Arcade Fire's "Unstaged Behind The Scenes" and has produced numerous films, music videos, TV programs and commercials.

The company has been honored with an Academy Award® (for the documentary, "The Fog of War"), Emmys® and a Golden Globe®.
