Halloween Horror Nights’ Commercial
Universal Orlando revealed the first commercial for Halloween Horror Nights XX. The thirty-second spot was directed by Michael and Peter Spierig, who directed the Hollywood thriller, “DayBreakers.”
“We like the idea of doing a type of commercial that we have never done before,” said Peter Spierig. “It plays out more like a film trailer.”
"My hope for the Halloween Horror Nights commercial is that the fans of these events will feel it’s true to the types of things they like,” added Michael.
The commercial is set in a Universal prop warehouse. I security guard, armed with a flashlight, is checking on things during his rounds. He happens on a lantern that appears to be in flames. The lantern releases a creature into the warehouse. That creature is fear.
“He (Fear) has really been the master behind all of the scares over the past twenty-years,” said Peter.
